memories are about people... not places

Tell me the world isn’t going to end in 2012

So I don’t mean this seriously, but at the same time just think about all of the crazy shit that has happened in the past few years.  All I know is I’m living it up for the next 2 years…

Tornado damage from yesterday's storm

Example 1:  Tornado damage from Alabama… this storm destroyed entire cities, police and medical departments, and left 10000’s without power.  This happened YESTERDAY!

Example 2:  Japan.  Enough said… this shit was crazy and they were still experiencing aftershocks and other earthquakes the days following the tsunami.

Example 3:  This is a Chicago highway.  And this was not the only storm like this during January, there was another less than 2 weeks later, which was even worse.  At one point every single state with the exception of Florida had snow on the ground.  That includes Hawaii.

And those 3 events all happened THIS YEAR.

Throw in the oil spill which decimated the gulf shores, the Haiti earthquake AND hurricane that the country is nowhere near recovering from, the heatwave in Russia last year, and flooding in the US and Pakistan - just from 2010 and the world has gone crazy.

And if you think I’m exaggerating, read this article:

I’m just saying… maybe we should start taking better care of the place we live if we want the world to stick around.  I plan of having a fantastical 2 years, and if we make it beyond 2012 I don’t plan on going anywhere for a long long time.
